From the makers of the Ice Age film series comes another computer-animated movie set in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro.Simply titled as Rio, it stars a baby blue macaw who cannot fly, Blu voiced by Jesse Eisenberg.
Others who lent their voices to birds varying from a toucan to a cockatoo to cardinal to a canary among others are Anne Hathaway, Jamie Foxx, will.i.am, and George Lopez.
PLOT:
When Blu, a domesticated macaw from small-town Minnesota, meets the fiercely independent Jewel, he takes off on an adventure to Rio de Janeiro with this bird of his dreams.
Rio is directed by Carlos Saldanha and produced by John C. Donkin for a budget of $90 million.
Rio is scheduled to be released in North America on April 15, 2011 by 20th Century Fox.
